SPARC Or x64/x86?
I have Dell with out a Os on it and thinking about geting SOLARIS but i dont know if i have a SPARC or x64/x86 (Im not sure but i think its talking about processor)
If you have a SPARC processor, I would be VERY surprised considering SPARC is a Sun Microsystems arcitrcture and you would have to buy a computer from them to get one.
Did you buy a 64 bit processor or a 32 bit processor?
32 bit = x86
64 bit = x64
the x86 will run on a 64 bit machine fine, so jsut download that one. But I dont see why would want Solaris since that is an OS developed by Sun and very few programs are available for it.
If you want an OS, just get Mandriva. A retarded monkey could install and run it.

They jsut integrated 3D desktop with Mandriva, and if you want to see a 3D desktop in action, just check out mine:
