How do I properly vent my attic in an attic conversion?
I converted my attic into living space that is approximately 45′ x 12′ with hardwood floors and open rafters. I do want to keep the rafters exposed because if I drywalled the ceiling, it would look too closed-in. It does get hot up there in the summer so I need a way to vent the attic area. I installed electric baseboards for the winter months, but desparately need something for the summer. Would a solar attic fan provide the proper amount of ventilation? I do have 2 small windows, but they do not provide much help.
I have a flat top roof that is aluminum coated, so a ridge vent would not work. I have an old victorian style twin row home.
stand in a corner and grab a piece of cardboard and fan all the air out!!
it works!!!!!!!
