2012 Solar System

2012 Solar System
Is the Planet Nibiru or Planet X orbiting around the solar system for real? Does it exist?

I heard that on 2012, Planet X will come near the earth and causes devastation. Were the doomsayers right?

I actually understand why so many people think that Nibiru/Planet X is a possibility. After all, even when we point out that its arrival is slightly over 2 years away and we still cannot see it, even with the strongest telescopes, the believers seem unimpressed, boggling the minds of astronomers.

The believers AREN'T astronomers. To them, 2 years away is 2 YEARS away. That's a long time. How far can you travel in 2 years here on Earth? Is there anyplace you CAN'T get to in 2 years?

Space is a bit different.

While nothing in space travels very slowly, in Earth terms, there is an upper speed limit, too. So, let's just look at a range from, say 5 miles a second to the speed of light. If some unknown was traveling 5 miles a second at a constant speed, though things really don't do that, either, in 2 years it could do the Mars to Earth round trip. This means it would be visible at all times, as Mars isn't particularly far away. (in astronomical terms)

If your mysterious planet was traveling at the speed of light, the upper speed limit (again, for various reasons, which it can't), in 2 years it would get to Earth from halfway to the nearest star (other than the Sun, picky people). Even that huge distance away, if Nibiru/Planet X was a brown dwarf star, we would have detected it, in various ways, certainly if it's orbit was heading our way. So, it can neither be traveling near the speed of light, nor can it be a brown dwarf star (or orbiting one).

This leaves the middle ground. If 5 miles a second is too slow and 186,000 miles a second is too fast, is there a "Goldilocks" speed that is "just right"? Well, once again, there is a bit more detail to explain. While the 5 to 186,000 sounds like a big range, it really isn't, as ANYTHING traveling faster than 26 miles a second is going to escape from the Sun forever. So, that reduces the effective range of your missing planet to a MAXIMUM speed of ... say, 25 miles a second? Still sound fast?

At 25 miles a second, an object due to "collide" with the Earth in 2 years would be:

800,000,000 miles away right now. This is a spot between Jupiter (one of the brightest objects in the night sky) and Saturn ( still a very bright object in the night sky). Admittedly, both Jupiter and Saturn are large gas giants and Nibiru/Planet X could just be a punky little terrestrial planet, like the Earth, but remember that Pluto and Eris are both several times FARTHER away and MUCH SMALLER than terrestrial planets, yet we see them fine. There is still another problem with this... an object CANNOT travel towards the Sun from nearly a billion miles away at just slightly under the Sun's escape velocity without accelerating PAST the Sun's escape velocity. That means Nibiru/Planet X would have to be CLOSER than 800,000,000 right now, making it even MORE likely to be spotted.

Perhaps now you understand more fully why astronomers say "that's impossible" when presented with the myriad Nibiru/Planet X scenarios.

(my favorite is that the planet is massless and has a Klingon Cloaking device.)

Six Ways The World Might End On Dec 21 2012

Scientific experts from all over the world and websites such as the2012facts.com are truly presaging that on Dec 21 2012, all life on the planet could well finish. Some are pronouncing it will be humans that set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are pronouncing it will be God himself who presses the stop button!

1. Mayan Calendar Ends on Dec 21 2012

The first to envision Dec 21 2012 as the end of the planet were the Mayans, a barbarous race that were good at 2 things:

Building highly accurate astrological apparatus out of stone and Sacrificing Virgins.

Thousands of years ago they managed to figure out the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar foresees the Earth will end on Dec 21 2012. Given that they were pretty near to the mark with the lunar cycle, it's likely they have the end of the planet right as well.

2. Solar Flairs Peak December 2012

Solar pros from all over the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it's meant to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, fresh solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with such a lot of radiation energy, it has been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is anticipated to get worse, and calculations suggest it will reach its lethal top sometime around Dec 21 2012.

3. The Christian Bible and the I Ching

If having scientists alert us about the end of the planet isn't bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act aswell. Interpretations of the Christian Bible exhibit the date for Armageddon, the final battle between Good bad has been set down for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese book of Changes, claims a similar thing, as do numerous sections of the Hindu teachings. There are at least a dozen ancient cultures from across the globe with such forcasts for major earth changes around the same time.

4. Super Volcano Dangers

Yellowstone State Park in the United States is famous for its thermal springs and Old Unswerving geyser. The explanation for this is simple - it's sitting on top of the world's biggest volcano, and geological pros are starting to get twitchy sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we're many years overdue for an explosion that may fill the atmosphere with ash, obstructing the sun and plunging the Earth into a chilled winter that might last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building continuously, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the massive bang.

5. The Scientists Calculate We're Behind Schedule For Massive Distruction

This one's a case of simple mathematics. Physicists at Berekely U have been crunching the numbers. and they've determined the Earth is well overdue for a major disastrous event. Even worse, they are saying their calculations prove, that we are all going to die, very shortly - while also pronouncing their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 percent- and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

6. Pole Shift

We all know the Earth is encircled by a magnetic field that sheilds us from the majority of the sun's radiation. What you won't know is the magnetic poles we call north and south have a nasty habit of swapping places each 750,000 years or so - and right now we're about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have observed the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points towards a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is in progress, the magnetic field is upset and will at last vanish, sometimes for as much as 100 years. The result's enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, murdering everything it touches.

And one more reason to be nervous about Dec 21 2012 :

7. Nibiru Planet X Fly-By Scenario

According to traditional Sumerian texts the Earth ("Tiamat") was struck by a large planet "Nibiru", which moved it into its present orbit, and created the Moon and the Asteroid Belt. The Sumerians wrote that this planetary "god," Nibiru, "remade our solar system and remakes the Earth on its near passages." If their calculations are correct, then Nibiru (also known as Planet X will be flying by the Earth in on Dec 21 2012.

So, where will you be on December 21st 2012? How about December 22nd 2012?
